Programme of Operations and Supply Range
in the Field of Precious Metals Refining
Modern refining plants must
not only guarantee a complete yield of precious metal in its purest form, with
as little expense and difficulty in the operation as possible, but in recent
years the environmental protection aspect of the processes used is gaining more
and more in importance.
Our field of operations
includes:
-
research into customer's orders and development of
special processes,
-
planning of complete plants or of individual special equipment for
supplementing existing systems,
-
provision of Know How and Engineering,
-
delivery, installation, and commissioning of equipment
and instruction of operating personnel,
in particular for the following:
- Electrochemical gold prerefining plants, which produce less than 1 % of effluent and exhaust air related to conventional acid refining, and prerefine gold to a standard of approx. 970 ‰.
- Gold electrolysis plants, which reliable produce refined gold of 999,9 ‰ purity and
better.
- Electrochemical
gold electrolyte production and final electrolyte recovery,
with simultaneous complete control and evaluation of platinum group metals.
- Conventional silver
electrolysis plants for initial materials from 970 ‰ Ag.
- Silver electrolysis plants based on the Janus process, for silver alloys from 625 ‰. These
alloys are electrolysed directly to pure silver of 999,7
‰ and better, without the necessity of separate production and addition of AgN03.
- Special electrolysis
plants for the electrochemical separation of Ag and Pd, in
which Ag is recovered directly as refined silver.
- Electrochemical
final electrolyte recovery for Ag-electrolysis in 2 steps:
1.
Electrolytic desilverisation step,
2.
Special copper electrolysis for nitrate solutions.
- All necessary secondary
processing equipment, such as
effluent and exhaust air control and purification
according to the respective regulations,
melting and casting facilities including granulating plants,
plants for the production of precious metal
salts.
- Equipment for refining
of platinum, palladium, and rhodium with all secondary processing
equipment.
- Controlled
atmosphere furnaces for the decomposition of platinum group metal
salts.
- Facilities for precious metal analysis.
- Membrane
separation boxes made of ceramics.
The basic principle of all
process steps is to prevent the formation of waste products and harmful
materials as far as possible and to operate mainly with a closed recirculation
system.
All plants are constructed
in the unit-composed system. They can be extended as required and combined with
each other over a wide range. In this way it is possible to build up a refining
plant in steps.
We supply complete plants
or we will supplement and extend your existing facilities.
Reference plants are
available both at home and abroad.
